Royal Purple joins PowerBlock for Search & Restore
RTM's PowerBlock will expand with Search & Restore, the company's fifth automotive series decicated to finding and restoring vehicles for viewers who can't finish their projects because of financial, health or family circumstances. The new series will be hosted by noted custom car builder, Tim Strange.
"Tim got his inspiration working with his dad on cars and bikes on their family farm in Illinois," Executive Producer Joe St. Lawrence said. "Eighteen years later he has turned that enthusiasm into a career as one of the country's top builders. Our audience will relate to Tim, his personality and his work ethic. We're excited he's joined the PowerBlock team."
Strange's accolades as a builder include receiving the Good Guys Trendsetter Award, plus numerous wins on the International Show Car Association and KKOA custom show circuits. He also heads the SEMA Show's Best New Product selection committee.
"There's no better feeling than helping someone regain that sense of hope after they feel like they've lost everything," said Strange. "Thanks to our volunteer build teams and hosts of the other PowerBlock shows, we're able to help someone pick up the pieces, turn a dream into reality, and have fun doing it," he added.
After receiving nearly 70,000 submissions of viewer stories and photos, Search & Restore is PowerBlock's answer to ignite hope back into the lives of those in need of a helping hand. Search & Restore's first four-episode build, sponsored by Henkel Corporations' Loctite, will premiere 11 a.m. EST May 7 and 8 on Spike TV. The series will be taped on a new 7,000-square foot set at RTM's television studios in Franklin, TN.
Royal Purple is proud to sponsor the second build of the series that will begin airing June 11. Check out more at searchandrestoretv.com.
