How long can I use Royal Purple motor oil before changing it?

It's that time of the week where we answer some of our most frequently asked questions about Royal Purple products.

This week we answer, "How long can I use Royal Purple Motor Oil before changing it?"

We recommend following the manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals for vehicles under warranty. If your vehicle is no longer under warranty, you can frequently double or triple the number of miles between oil changes depending on the vehicle, its condition, the way its used, and the oil filter that is used.

RP's new proprietary quart bottle
If you've been a regular consumer of Royal Purple motor oil, you might have noticed a change in our bottle. We recently released a new proprietary bottle that includes an embossed logo that serves as an anti-counterfeiting measure.

All Royal Purple products currently packaged in the industry-standard F-style bottle will be converted to the new bottle. Products in the new bottle will be distributed through more than 22,000 retail locations in the coming months including retailers such as AutoZone, Advanced Auto, CarQuest, NAPA, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Pep Boys.

  1. I have used Royal Purple since 9000 miles on my 06 Chrysler 300. (currently 41k). Has anyone else noticed the rich purple color as the old oil drains out? Is this due to it being non-carbon based? -Roy Crater
